Agua Dulce and Frenchtown Roasters, nestled in Monroe County, is a company dedicated to quality, providing a delightful experience for coffee and tea enthusiasts. We carefully research coffee beans and a wide range of teas from around the world, ensuring each selection is ethically and sustainably sourced. The beans are often procured from small, family-owned farms where traditional cultivation methods are respected, ensuring the best quality and supporting local communities. We take pride in roasting our own coffee on-site, using a skilled process that highlights the unique flavors and characteristics of each bean. This dedicated approach allows us to maintain unparalleled freshness and deliver a cup of coffee that is truly exceptional.

The honey bee farm, a testament to our commitment to sustainability, yields exquisite honey that enhances various products. The bees are cared for in a natural and healthy environment, which not only produces superior honey but also supports the local ecosystem. Similarly, our selection of premium maple syrups is sourced from a local family farm in Mason Michigan where trees have been growing for over 100 years tapped with care to ensure a rich and authentic flavor.

We also love to make homemade granola, made from organic ingredients. Each batch is prepared to offer a wholesome and delicious snack. Our artisanal panned chocolates are crafted in New York with the finest ingredients, providing a sweet treat that delights the senses.

Sheryl was born in Monroe Michigan and graduated from Jefferson High School in 1979. After graduation she served 4 years in the U.S. Air Force as a Personal Specialist. Making the rank of Sergent, she received an honorable discharge.

She then went to work in Civil Service as a Secretary in Airways Facilities in Utah, the Safety Office and NASA at Edwards AFB in California, and the Federal Aviation Administration in Michigan. In 2011, Sheryl joined her husband Tony in opening Agua Dulce Coffee and Tea. Sheryl added the “Tea” to the coffee shop as she has been a long-time tea drinker. She began her love of taking tea when spending time on her grandparents’ farm, where her grandfather, who every day at 3pm in the afternoon would take a break from working on his farm to have his cup of hot tea.

From there she grew to become a tea connoisseur. Since then, she has provided much support and contributed her knowledge to the success of the coffee shop. She continues to support the online business as a tea enthusiast, honeybee keeper and working at the Farmers Markets.

Most of all, she thoroughly loves and enjoys her three grandchildren whom she says are her favorites of what life has to offer.
